Food Connections
Sixteen dishes, four countries, four mistakes. Group the dishes by where they come from — a daily puzzle for people who know their food.
How to play
- You’re shown a 4×4 grid of 16 dishes.
- They belong to four countries, four dishes each. Tap four you think share a country, then Submit.
- Guess all four groups before you make four mistakes. A “one away” nudge tells you when three of your four match.
- Solve it and share your colour grid — just like the word game, but tastier.
Tips for the food grid
The trap is dishes that look like they belong together but come from neighbouring countries — a Vietnamese and a Thai noodle dish, say, or pasta from Italy versus the United States. Lock in the group you’re most certain of first; every confident group you remove makes the rest easier. Aromatics and staples are your tells: gochujang says Korea, harissa says North Africa, a tortilla says Mexico.
Frequently asked questions
How is the Connections puzzle grouped?
Every group is a country of origin. All 16 dishes split into four countries with four dishes each — your job is to find which dishes go with which country.
How many mistakes can I make?
Four. Each wrong group of four counts as one mistake; on the fourth mistake the puzzle reveals the answers.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes — a fresh 16-dish grid every day, the same for every player, so you can compare your colour grid with friends.
